Keyser, W.Va. – WVU Potomac State College student-athletes have once again been recognized for their excellence in the classroom, as 30 individuals and six athletic programs earned NJCAA and Region 20 All-Academic honors for the 2024–2025 season.
To be recognized as an NJCAA All-Academic student-athlete, individuals must maintain a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.60 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing two full-time semesters. First Team honorees achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA; Second Team honorees earned between 3.80 and 3.99, and Third Team honorees posted GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79. Intercollegiate teams earning an average GPA of 3.0 or higher receive NJCAA All-Academic Team recognition.
NJCAA All-Academic First Team honorees (4.0 GPA) include:
Braylee Corbin (Softball), Jamie Kelly (Softball), William Boddy (Men's Cross Country), Leah McKenzie (Women's Cross Country), Addison Lease (Women's Cross Country), Hartley VanGilder (Women's Soccer), Jesse Moore (Men's Soccer) and Rylee Staggs (Women's Soccer).
NJCAA All-Academic Second Team honorees (3.80–3.99 GPA) include:
Elizabeth Pryor (Women's Basketball), Amber Bing (Women's Basketball), Meghan Harris (Women's Basketball/Women's Soccer/Softball – Coach), Emonie Fennel (Volleyball), Carson Boober (Baseball), Tanner Haskiell (Baseball), Elijah Kuykendall (Baseball), Sarah Lasko (Women's Cross Country), Bessie Halterman (Women's Soccer), and Miyah Saville (Women's Soccer).
NJCAA All-Academic Third Team honorees (3.60–3.79 GPA) include:
Ashton Spiker (Softball), Haleigh Massie (Softball), Sarah Iman (Volleyball), Daija Wright (Volleyball), Eliana Mosby (Volleyball), Dylan Bell (Baseball), Noah Durrance (Baseball), Chris Harbert (Baseball), Cooper Polcovich (Baseball), Gabe Templeton (Baseball), Skyla Compton (Softball) and Averi Everline (Women's Cross Country).
In addition to the individual honors, six Potomac State programs earned NJCAA All-Academic Team recognition. These programs included Women's Cross Country, Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball, and Softball.
Nationally, the NJCAA annually honors the academic achievements of student-athletes across all sports. The 2024–2025 list highlights the dedication, discipline, and balance it takes to succeed both in competition and in the classroom.
