Sites, Harbert pitch Catamounts to sweep over Catonsville

On the heels of a four-game losing streak, Potomac State bounced back decisively with a doubleheader sweep over CCBC Catonsville on Wednesday at Golden Park. The Catamounts secured victories of 7–2 and 8–4, bolstered by standout pitching performances and timely hitting. 
 
In the opener, right-hander Aidan Sites delivered a complete-game gem, allowing just four hits and two earned runs over seven innings while striking out five for the 7-2 win. His efficient outing kept the Cardinals' offense in check throughout.
 
Offensively, Potomac State broke through in the third inning with an RBI double from Reilly Bubb. The Catamounts added four runs in the fifth, highlighted by a two-run homer from Carson Boober and an RBI single by Chris Harbert. Bubb contributed two RBIs in the game, and Braden Sloan added an RBI walk.  
 
Potomac State struck first in the third inning when Carson Boober scored on a double by Reilly Bubb to make it 1–0.
 
In the fifth, Potomac State added four more runs, when Braden Sloan drew a bases-loaded walk.  That was followed by a Reilly Bubb sacrifice fly. 
Another sacrifice fly, this time from Lex Wescott made the score 4-0. Chris Harbert then singled in another run making it 5-0. 
 
Catonsville finally got on the board in the sixth inning with two runs scoring on a fielder's choice RBI by Sebastian Guzman.  An RBI infield single by Coby Vallee followed to make the score 5-2.
 
But Potomac State answered back when Carson Boober launched a two-run homer, scoring Seth Healy.
 
In game two, Chris Harbert took the mound and earned his first win of the season, pitching five strong innings with five strikeouts and allowing just one earned run for the 8-4 win. Tanner Haskiell closed out the final two innings, striking out five and preserving the lead.
 
The Catamounts' offense erupted in the fifth inning, scoring six runs to break a 2–2 tie. Gabe Templeton ignited the rally with his first career home run, a solo shot to left field. Later in the inning, Templeton reached on an error that allowed another run to score. Bubb added a two-run double, and Lex Wescott contributed an RBI single to cap the inning.
 
Chris Harbert opened the scoring on singled to left, scoring Braden Sloan who had doubled to lead off the game. 
 
In the fourth inning, Freshman Gabe Templeton hit his first career home run, a solo shot to left making the score 2-1. 
 
Catonsville tied the game at two-apiece in the fifth inning on a 5th Inning on a sacrifice fly by Nick Colimodio.   A fielding error by PSC allowing a run to score a run and make it a 2-2 score.
 
Potomac State put the game away with a six-run outburst that featured an, RBI single by Seth HealyLogan Rotruck then laced an RBI double.  Gabe Templeton picked up an RBI when he reached on error.
 
A two-run double by Reilly Bubb followed to make the score 7-2. Lex Wescott concluded the Catamount offense with a single scoring Bubb to make it 8-2.
 
In the seventh Catonsville rallied behind a RBI double from Nick Colimodio and an RBI single from Virgil Watson RBI single to make the score 8-4. 
 
Tanner Haskiell closed it out for Potomac State allowing two runs, striking out five in two innings of work.
