Potomac State Men’s Soccer Battles Back to Earn Road Draw at Catonsville

Baltimore, MD — WVU Potomac State College Men's Soccer battled back on Tuesday evening, rallying from a two-goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw on the road against CCBC Catonsville.

After trailing 2-0 midway through the second half, the Catamounts responded with urgency and composure. Matthieu Baudry sparked the comeback with a well-placed strike in the 66th minute, and Brady Grubb followed with the equalizer just twelve minutes later, capping off a determined second-half performance.

Potomac State controlled much of the match, generating consistent offensive pressure and outshooting the hosts. Grubb led the team with multiple shots on target, while Baudry, Cesar Sales, and Hasan Azam also contributed key efforts in the attack. The Catamounts earned several corner kicks and maintained possession through disciplined midfield play. In goal, Justin Leclerc anchored the defense with a full 90-minute performance, making a crucial save to help preserve the draw

With the result, Potomac State improves to 4-1-1 on the season. The Catamounts return to action on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 as they continue their road trip against Cecil College. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
