Keyser, W.Va. — Potomac State Women's Soccer battled for 90 minutes on Tuesday afternoon but came up short in a 2–0 decision against Frederick Community College at Stayman Field.
The Catamounts created multiple scoring chances throughout the match, outshooting the visiting Cougars 4–3 in the opening half and applying steady pressure on the Frederick defense. Lindsay Mowry, Meghan Harris, and Lynnea Clark each placed shots on goal, while Baylie Kirby and Mollie Wheatley added key attacking efforts as Potomac State continued to press forward late.
In goal, Hadley Courtney turned away three shots and anchored the Catamount defense through several strong defensive stretches. The back line, led by Meghan Harris and Natalie Sions, limited Frederick's opportunities and helped keep the match within reach until the closing minutes.
Despite the result, the Catamounts displayed composure and persistence across both halves, showing continued growth and improved ball movement in the attacking third. Potomac State looks to close out their season on a high note as they travel to play Garrett College on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 at 5pm.
