Catamounts Roll Past Baltimore City in Straight Sets

Baltimore, MD - WVU Potomac State College capped off a dominant night of volleyball with a second straight-set sweep, this time overpowering host Baltimore City Community College (25-15, 25-9, 25-17) in the nightcap of Friday's tri-match at the Physical Education Center.

With the victory, Potomac State improves to 5-2 on the season and extends its set win streak to 15 in a row. The Catamounts imposed their will early and never looked back, controlling each set with strong serving, balanced offense, and relentless defense. A total of eight players registered kills, showcasing the team's depth and versatility.

Ashton Spiker led the offensive push with 8 kills, while Victoria Lester added 4 of her own and once again anchored the offense with 17 assists. Delaney Randolph was a standout from the service line, delivering 9 aces and keeping the Baltimore City defense off balance throughout the match.

Payton Rumor and Alyssa Abel each added 4 kills, while Daija Wright and Randolph chipped in offensively and contributed to a solid defensive effort that limited the Panthers to just 11 total kills across three sets. On the back line, Wright and Briscoe provided steady defense, while Lester and Spiker kept the offense flowing with smart, efficient play.

For their next match, Potomac State will travel to face off agianst Community College of Beaver County on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 at 7pm.
