La Plata, Md. — Potomac State Volleyball came up short on the road Tuesday afternoon, falling in straight sets (22–25, 19–25, 23–25) to the College of Southern Maryland inside CSM Gymnasium. The Catamounts battled through three closely contested sets, keeping pressure on the Hawks with balanced offensive production and consistent serving. Despite several late rallies, Potomac State was unable to overcome key scoring runs by CSM down the stretch of each frame.
Ashton Spiker led the Catamount attack with 10 kills and 11 digs, while Christianna Sledge and Elliana Mosby each added seven kills. Alyssa Abel contributed four kills and a block, giving Potomac State a lift at the net. Setter Victoria Lester paced the offense with 30 assists and added three service aces, while Delaney Randolph anchored the defense with 14 digs and two aces from the service line. The Catamounts totaled seven aces as a team and showed resilience throughout the match, staying within striking distance in each set.
With the result, Potomac State moves to 10–5 overall. Next up, the Catamounts will travel to take on Frederick Community College on Friday, October 17th, 2025 at 7pm.
