Hamstead, Md. — Potomac State powered to a straight-set victory over Carroll Community College on Monday night, earning a 3–0 win to continue building momentum late in the regular season. The Catamounts controlled the match from the first serve, taking the opener convincingly, outlasting Carroll in a tightly contested second set, and closing out the sweep with a strong third-set finish.
Potomac State finished the night with 44 total kills and 33 assists. Sarah Iman led the effort at the net with 13 kills and added four digs along with a solo block and block assist. Christianna Sledge followed with 11 kills and added two service aces and one dig. Alyssa Abel contributed seven kills across three sets, while Ashton Spiker recorded four kills, an assist, a service ace, and six digs.
Setter Victoria Lester directed the offense with 32 assists and added two service aces and two digs. At the service line, the Catamounts totaled 10 aces, including four from Elliana Mosby, who also finished with six kills, seven digs, and a block assist.
Defensively, Potomac State posted 37 digs and stayed disciplined at the net. Iman led the blocking effort, while Sledge and Mosby added support at the net to limit Carroll's scoring opportunities and shift momentum in key rallies.
