Athletes across all sports at WVU Potomac State College have adjusted to living through a pandemic and are preparing for their seasons to be played during the spring semester.

The NJCAA Board of Regents met Thursday to discuss NJCAA student-athlete eligibility for the 2020-21 academic year. Following the Board of Regents' vote, all 2020-21 NJCAA sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) will not count towards student-athlete eligibility. The eligibility relief is provided to all NJCAA student-athletes regardless of sport season participation in the 2020-21 academic year.

The WVU Potomac State College Athletic Department is planning for the future amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Multiple projects and improvements of the PSC athletic facilities mean that when things get back to normal, the athletes on the Keyser campus will reap the rewards of these enhancements.

Following the recommendations from the NJCAA Presidential Advisory Council and the NJCAA Board of Regents, the NJCAA has announced its adjusted plan of action for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year. Following the Board of Regents’ vote on Monday, a majority of competition will be moved to the spring semester.
