Catamount athletes navigate a pandemic to prepare for Spring ’21 seasons
Athletes across all sports at WVU Potomac State College have adjusted to living through a pandemic and are preparing for their seasons to be played during the spring semester.
NJCAA announces 2020-21 eligibility status
The NJCAA Board of Regents met Thursday to discuss NJCAA student-athlete eligibility for the 2020-21 academic year. Following the Board of Regents' vote, all 2020-21 NJCAA sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) will not count towards student-athlete eligibility. The eligibility relief is provided to all NJCAA student-athletes regardless of sport season participation in the 2020-21 academic year.
Potomac State College Athletic Department upgrades facilities
The WVU Potomac State College Athletic Department is planning for the future amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Multiple projects and improvements of the PSC athletic facilities mean that when things get back to normal, the athletes on the Keyser campus will reap the rewards of these enhancements.
NJCAA updates plan of action, moves fall sports to spring semester
Following the recommendations from the NJCAA Presidential Advisory Council and the NJCAA Board of Regents, the NJCAA has announced its adjusted plan of action for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year. Following the Board of Regents’ vote on Monday, a majority of competition will be moved to the spring semester.
27 Potomac State Athletes Receive All-Academic Honors
27 WVU Potomac State College athletes and 3 Catamount teams have been recognized by the NJCAA for All-Academic honors, the annual academic award recipients were released by the NJCAA on Wednesday.
Catamount Crossing - Student-Athlete Spotlight - Makayla Gank
The WVU Potomac State College Athletic Department has launched a new student-athlete spotlight, "Catamount Crossing." We will be celebrating student-athletes from different communities within our department. The focus for May is the Class of 2020.
